Malinda Obershaw
Executive Director
Glad to be back in Delavan!
Born and raised in Delavan, Malinda is proud to be back in her hometown serving as Executive Director of the Delavan-Delavan Lake Area Chamber of Commerce, a role she began in May 2023.
“There really is no place like home,” Obershaw says. “I’m grateful to be back in Delavan working alongside incredible people and businesses. My family’s roots run deep here—from local schools to my parents owning a hometown business—and I’m honored to help showcase everything that makes Delavan special.”
Malinda brings more than 30 years of experience in marketing, tourism, and advertising. She began her career locally in advertising sales with the Delavan Enterprise and Walworth County Week, where she also worked closely with regional organizations including the Lake Geneva Chamber of Commerce and The Darien Corn Fest. She later spent 15 years with the Beloit Daily News and volunteered for 14 years with the Downtown Beloit Association, most recently serving as Vice Chair of the Board and Chair of the Promotions Committee.
Malinda is married to her DDHS sweetheart, Ryan, and they have one son, Zachary, who pursued a career in audio engineering in Tennessee. In her spare time, she enjoys serving on the praise and worship team at Rock Valley Chapel in Beloit. She would love to DIVE INTO DELAVAN with YOU!

As a long-time resident of Delavan, Monica’s passion for the area is magnified through her high level of engagement in school/church activities, events, and other community involvement. She is highly knowledgeable on the many facets of Delavan and looks forward to serving the community through her work with the Chamber. Monica is a graduate of UW-Madison.
